Dr. Saltiel is a native New Yorker dedicated to caring for the Brooklyn community through his work at Atlantic Gastroenterology and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
He performs endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. With a compassionate and comprehensive approach, he cares for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including acid reflux, abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and MASLD (metabolic associated steatotic liver disease).
Dr. Saltiel earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow.
He has published extensively and presented nationally on topics including colorectal cancer screening, hepatitis C treatment, and the management of gastrointestinal foreign bodies. Known for his thoughtful, patient-centered approach, Dr. Saltiel combines the latest evidence-based medicine and technology to deliver personalized care and build long-term relationships with his patients.
Dr. Saltiel offers weekend appointments for endoscopies and colonoscopies.
